The Yuen Family History can be traced back to Yuan An who lived until 92AD and served as a minister of the Eastern Han period. Yuan An is regarded as a founder of the Yuan clan of Ru’Nan, one of the leading aristocratic families of the Eastern Han period. He was the great grandfather of Yuan Shao, one of the most powerful warlords who lived during the late Eastern Han dynasty and the beginning of the Three Kingdoms era.
The Yuen clan history from Luo Gang Xing Ning began when Yuan Zhi Jun, who lived in Jiangxi, moved to the Guangdong province to take up the Chief Secretary position with the Guangdong Government during the Ming dynasty. His fifth son moved to Xing Ning Luo Gang in 1369.
